This is the story Of a struggling young director who approaches the regining matinee of tollywood with the idea of making a movie on a film inspired by Satyajit Roy’s Nayak & Ingmar Bergman’s Wild Strawberries. The matinee idol is an arrogant man and at the peak of his career. To prove a point to his detractors and that he is perpetually one-up on Destiny, he accepts the songless, middle-of-the-road script is offered by the director. We also have a theatre actress who lives in with the director, and who gets cast as the journalist in the film. Here onwards, the film gets split into two parallel stories. One, the story of the film within the film and the unconventional relationship brewing between the star and the journalist, as he takes her through his checkered past. The other, and even more unconventional trinagle between the director, the actress(both of whom share an unique open relationship) and the matinee idol(who rediscovers his ordinary roots through escapades with the actress). The two narratives are entwined as reel and real life converge and diverge through situations. The climax is where they converge and how that changes three lives forever, forms the finale to this reel meets real story.
